Five Communities in Bena area where David Kulimbao lives are on fire. In DK’s words:
“The fires go beyond our understanding. They are burning down our pineapple gardens, small trees, the regrowing saplings, are on fire, coffee gardens on fire, small river beds on fire.
Birds of the air have flown away, the big snakes are burnt, all the kapuls, little to big, are burnt.
Wire fences are on fire and lots more. From a very long distance the fire reached out to us for 3 days and 3 nights.”
